Aviation fans, friends and family continue to support pilots and organizers of the National Championship Air Races with attendance to the event. Although Friday's races are suspended, the scheduled events, displays and vendors continue to honor pilots and flight.

For the third time in four days, a pilot at the National Championship Air Races has been killed. Pilot Gary Hubler, last year's Formula One winner, died during a race Friday morning after a Formula One plane collided with another.
