Winter weather returned to the Lake Tahoe area Wednesday, April 23 dropping up to 10 inches of fresh, cold snow at some Lake Tahoe ski resorts.

Here's what local ski resorts are reporting:

Sugar Bowl
Storm total: 6-10 inches
Closing Date: April 27

Alpine Meadows
Storm total: 3-5 inches
Closing Date: May 4

Heavenly:
Storm total: 2-3 inches
Closing date: May 4

Kirkwood:
Storm total: 1-3 inches
Closing Date: April 27

Squaw Valley
Storm total: 1 inch
Closing date: May 11
