Young Shakespeare program heads to Truckee

July 21, 2008

The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival’s D.G. Menchetti Young Shakespeare program is hitting the road and heading to Truckee, Calif. to present its free one hour interpretation of Shakespeare’s classic, "A Midsummer Night’s Dream." Set in contemporary times and created with the young audience member in mind, this
program gives children the opportunity to interact with some of the stars from the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival and receive an up-close look into the world of arts and theatre.

Seats are limited and RSVPs are required. Reserve free seats online at www.LakeTahoeShakespeare.com.

Educating youth on the importance of the arts is a primary mission of the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival. Now in its seventh year, the Young Shakespeare program is produced in collaboration with The Nevada Shakespeare Company and offers an introduction for children to the mastery of William Shakespeare and the wonders of outdoor theatre.
