July 1, 2008

Ride on down to area merchants throughout the summer to get great deals on food and drink, try your luck at prizes or just celebrate the camaraderie of men and women who live life on two wheels.

• Mondays
Kick-start your Mondays from 6 - 9 p.m. at BW3's - Buffalo Wild Wings, 13967 S. Virginia St., at the Summit Sierra. Drivers and riders receive specials on Bud, Bud Light and Monster Energy Drinks, with 50-cent wings and boneless wings.

Michael's of Reno is on-board to offer raffle chances for swag and gift certificates to Michael's Motor Sports, as well as $25 gift certificates to BW3s. Some weeks, the folks from No Fear are in the house offering prizes, too. Event goes through the end of August.

• Tuesdays
Stop by La Vecchia 5- 9 p.m. for Two- Wheeled Tuesdays and meet the Italians. Ducati's usually steal the show at this bike night, but all forms of two-wheeled transport are welcome. Hell- I even rode my Vespa. Meet and greet your fellow sport-bike riders, find out about Sierra Sportbike Association, Desmo Reno and don't miss Chef 'Berto's awesome pasta! For details, call (775) 825-1113 or visit www.lavecchiareno.com. That's Amore!

Across town, in Sparks, Cantina Los Tres Hombres also celebrates Bike Night with all-you-can-eat-tacos for $6.99. Located at 926 Victorian Avenue, Victorian Square. Call (775) 356-6262 for details.

• Wednesdays
PJs bike night - probably the biggest in town - goes down each Wednesday. Whenever I go - I see all kinds of bikes all over this lot, spilling into the side streets and you may even see a stunt or two. Good food, great people, drink specials, and they didn't even laugh when I pulled up with my little 200-liter Grandtourismo. It's all here. Come for the show, stay for the food. For details, call (775) 323-6366 or visit www.pjandco.net.

• Thursday
Word has it the latest hang for the Wild Ones is the Sonic on McCarran. Sonic has awesome food, you can still get a waitress on skates at times and their ice cream treats are worth the gas money. For summer fun - stop by for a refreshing beverage and a burger. Meet your friends and then ride, ride, ride. For details, (775) 786-3962.

• Friday
Sparky's on Longley and McCarran offer's bike nights beginning 5 p.m. Friday, $2 select drafts, food specials, Karaoke at 8 p.m. and monthly rides. Located at 4050 S. McCarran, (775) 827-1550, call to confirm.

Now it's the weekend, so what are you doin' hangin' around town? Tune it, buff it, gas it and head out on the highway!
