Bob Malone and Suzanne Buirgy at Brewery Arts Center May 17

Two-fisted piano man and folk singer perform in Carson City

May 9, 2008

Bob Malone is a two-fisted piano man who came from the swamps of Jersey but whose music swings with the soul of New Orleans - an artist who has complete command of the entire spectrum of American roots music…blues, jazz, ragtime, boogie woogie and more — and drags it all, kicking and screaming, into the twenty first century.

An award-winning folk singer, Suzanne Buirgy started writing songs at age 12. She trained in musical theater which eventually branched out into joining a band. After soloing and producing a CD, she began opening for singers such as Janis Ian and Dar Williams.

See them perform 7:30 p.m. May 17.
