Visual Design Studio Series - Product and Transportation Design I - Todd White
Draw products and vehicles with designer/illustrator, Todd White. White has worked for Disney, Warner Bros, Universal Studios, and Sony Entertainment Group. Students will complete illustration projects, learn perspective and marker rendering techniques as well as building a portfolio in order to apply to art and design schools.

Instructor: Todd White
Dates: Tuesdays, June 10 - Aug. 19 (no class July 1)
Time: 6 - 9 p.m.
Levels/Ages: All / 15 and up
Cost: $300 / $280 NMA Members

Book Arts: Wright meets Mackintosh
Explore typefaces inspired by the styles and time periods of architects Frank Lloyd Wright and Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Students will hand-write the alphabet, examine letter proportion and construction and make cards, books and an accordion-folded paper encased in a tiny chest of drawers.

Dates: Tuesdays, May 6 - 27
Time: 6 - 9 p.m.
Levels/Ages: All / 15 and up

Fencing
Introduce your child to the tradition and practice of fencing while promoting physical fitness. On the outdoor NMA plaza, students will use protective equipment in a safe and fun environment as they gain basic fencing knowledge and improve strength, balance, coordination and self confidence.

Dates: Mondays, May 12 - June 23 (no class May 26)
Time: 3:15 - 4:15 p.m.
Ages: 7 - 14
Cost: $68 / $60 NMA members

Watercolor II: Intermediate Techniques
Landscape is the subject of this intermediate watercolor course. Students will capture mood and create emotion in their paintings by using wet-in-wet techniques. These methods will improve the student's ability to paint overcast and stormy skies, dramatic landscapes and moving water.

Dates: Wednesdays, April 9 - 23
Time: 6 - 9 p.m.
Levels/Ages: Intermediate / 15 and up
Cost: $81 / $72 members

Four-Hands Playing: Clay experience for parent and child
Take time in the morning for clay play with your child age 6 and younger. You will sculpt, fire, and glaze with all four hands working together to make this a wonderful learning experience and development opportunity for parent and child. Price includes one parent and one child.

Instructor: Melanie Berner
Dates: Saturdays, April 5 - April 26
Time: 10:30 a.m. - noon
Ages: 3 - 6 with parent
Cost: $54 / $48 NMA members ($24 for each additional parent and/or child)

Summer Art and Design Camp: Design for people and places
Get inspired by the Frank Lloyd Wright & the House Beautiful exhibit and design cool things for people and places. Make mini models of houses, create interiors, and design a landscape. Different media will be explored, such as drawing, painting, printmaking, and clay.

Instructor: Melanie Berner
Dates: Monday - Friday, June 23 - 27
Time: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Ages: 8 - 12 (age flexible)
Cost: $180 / $160 NMA members - Bring a sack lunch
