Slideshow: Hidden Valley Parade of Lights

See the Parade of Lights holiday decorating contest through Dec. 31

December 13, 2007

It's that time of year again to take a night-time drive to Hidden Valley to view the longest-running Christmas decorating contest in the Truckee Meadows.

Travel east of Reno to McCarran Boulevard at the intersection of Rock Boulevard and Pembroke Drive; turn east, cross the Pembroke Bridge over the Truckee River and follow the lights.

Those interested in voting for their favorite lighted displays can take a self-guided tour 7-10 p.m. Dec. 14-15. A map and details are available online at www.hiddenvalleyhomeowners.org.

All votes must be submitted by 5 p.m. Dec. 16.

Food Bank of Northern Nevada
Contributions of non-perishable food items will be accepted 6 - 8 p.m. Dec. 15-16 and Dec. 22-23.
