Click here for an overview of Hot August Night events Dining al fresco in The Biggest Little City: Top five restaurants with outdoor seating After some serious searching for restaurants in town that offer sufficient outdoor seating during these beautiful summer months, I've come up with five restaurants that seem to be the most accommodating, comfortable, and fun places to hang for an extended period of time, with whomever you enjoy spending that time. Reno restaurants cater more to indoor conditions since, as locals know, the weather here is extremely unpredictable and ever-changing. But no worries -- Reno has some amazing restaurants that have decided folks in our city can have it all, and have provided us with some quality seating conditions located in the great outdoors of the high desert. Click here to read the rest of this story... 19th Annual Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off set for Aug. 29-Sept. 3 This year's Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-off, the 19th annual, will run Wednesday, August 29 through Monday, September 3, once again transforming the Labor Day holiday on Victorian Square in downtown Sparks into a must-attend culinary, music, craft and family end-of-summer affair. Daily hours for all the fun -- the rib cookers, live entertainment, special kids area and multiple city blocks of craft vendors -- are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday -- Sunday; 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday.
